Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions for the pub, B&B and PIGSPA. If you have a question not answered here please get in touch and we will be more than happy to help you.

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs! Feel free to bring them to our main and end rooms, but please note they’re not allowed in the snug. We offer treats and water bowls on-site. When booking, let us know in the ‘special requests’ box if you’re bringing your dog so we can reserve the right table for you.

Do you take large group bookings?

Yes! The Pigs can accommodate groups of up to 30 people. Please note that all food orders must be placed in advance, depending on the size of your party. To make a booking, give the team a call at 01263 587634! We request a deposit of £10 per person for all bookings over ten people.

Do I need to book a table?

Yes, please! While we have some space for walk-ins, it can get very busy during peak times. To ensure you get a spot, we recommend booking a table in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, we do! We offer vegetarian and vegan options and low-gluten and dairy-free meals. Just let a team member know about any dietary preferences or restrictions when you arrive, and they’ll be happy to assist you with the best choices.

Do you cater for weddings?

Norfolk Passport Partner Back To Your Place are excellent caterers for any event, be it a wedding, private dinner party, wake, or informal get-together. Visit their website for more information.

Do you do a Norfolk Passport discount?

Yes! The Pigs are proud Norfolk Passport Partners, offering a 10% discount on all food and drinks when you present your card. Plus, you can save 10% on all room bookings. Interested in becoming a member? Sign-up is free and instant; you can find more information here.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! A few of our Original Spa Rooms and the Bubble & Squeak room are dog-friendly. If you're bringing a dog, we recommend calling the team to book so we can ensure the correct room is allocated to you. Alternatively, you can mention it in the additional notes when booking online. Please note there is a surcharge of £25 per dog, with a maximum of two dogs allowed per room.

How far are you from the beach?

The Pigs is just a 20-minute drive from the nearest beach. You can visit Weybourne, a quieter option ideal for relaxing in the sun, or Sheringham, a lively town in North Norfolk with plenty to do both in town and along the promenade. Blakeney Quay is another great option, perfect for crabbing and bird-watching.

Which rooms have fridges?

The Spa Suites, Sty in the Sky, Bubble & Squeak and The Wallow all have fridges in the rooms. A shared fridge is available in the corridor for guests staying in one of the Original Spa Rooms.

Do you provide Z beds?

Yes, we have one Z bed on-site, suitable for a child up to 12 years old. To arrange this, please call the team at 01263 587634.

What do you offer for special occasions?

We offer several special room add-on packages for those looking to make their stay extra special. These include romance and birthday packages and options to add prosecco, cake, and more.

Do you do room service?

Absolutely! We understand you might not want to leave your in-room spa facilities, even for a meal. That’s why we're happy to deliver food and drinks to your room. Call the reception team or scan the QR code in your room to place your order.

What time can I check in?

Check-in is available from 3pm, with check-out at 11am the next day for Bubble & Squeak, Spa Suites, and Original Spa Rooms. Guests staying in The Wallow and Sty in the Sky can check-in from 2pm and check-out at 11am.

Can I have early check-in or check-out?

You can book an early check-in for any room type, allowing you to check in at 1:30 pm for an additional £35. However, we are unable to offer a late check-out option.

Can I pay my balance off before I stay?

Yes, you can! Simply give the team a call at 01263 587634 to arrange payment.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 48 hours before noon on the arrival day, you will receive a full refund. However, if you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival, 100% of the room rate will be charged to the card used for booking. No-show guests forfeit their deposit, and the booking amount will be charged to the card used to pay it.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Yes! Brunch is included in your room rate and is served from 8am to 2pm Monday through Saturday and from 8am to 12pm on Sundays. This allows you to enjoy your room until check-out at 11am and then indulge in a delicious brunch!

What would be the easiest way to get to The Pigs if I don’t drive?

We are in the countryside, so visiting without a car requires some forward planning. The easiest route is to take a train to Norwich, another train to Sheringham, and a 20-minute taxi ride to Edgefield. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Sheringham to Holt and then a taxi to Edgefield. Please plan your travel to ensure a smooth journey.

Are there any dog-friendly walks in the local area?

Yes, plenty of walks are nearby, such as Baconsthorpe Castle, Holt Country Park, Kelling Heath, Blickling Hall, Wiveton Downs, and several public footpaths!

How old do you have to be for treatments?

To receive a spa treatment or use a hot tub, you must be 16 or older. If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

How many people can have a spa day?

Up to four people can book a spa day experience. To arrange, please call the team at 01263 587634.

Do you have a swimming pool?

No, we don’t have a swimming pool, but we offer private in-room spa facilities, and selected rooms even have hot tubs!

Can I use the Spa Garden if I’m having a treatment?

Access to the Spa Garden is only available as part of a Half Day Spa Experience.

Do I need to bring swimwear for a half-day spa?

Yes!

Can I take my dog into the treatment rooms with me?

No, dogs are not allowed in the spa areas.

Can I have a treatment if I’m pregnant?

PIGSPA offers specialised treatments for women over 12 weeks pregnant. However, please check with your midwife before your treatment to ensure it's safe for you to receive a massage, especially if you have a high-risk pregnancy.

Do you do couples spa days?

Yes, we do! The Twilight Spa package is designed for couples looking to relax together. It includes a spa treatment and a three-course meal in The Pigs Pub.

Can I book a treatment before check-in time or after check-out

Absolutely! It’s a great way to make the most of your stay.

Do I get a discount on spa treatments with a Norfolk passport?

No, the Norfolk Passport doesn’t include discounts on spa treatments. However, PIGSPA occasionally offers discounts—be sure to sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to stay updated.
